Their training courses are designed to fit around your other work / family commitments.

Their courses – there are two levels to choose from - are fully structured and comprehensive in scope, including all the training material you’ll need supported by practical training in their state of the art training centres and ultimately, having the opportunity to complete your NVQ on a working development site.

Here’s what you could be learning:

Domestic Electrical Installer

  • Part P Defined Scope
  • City & Guilds 2382 – 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations
  • Part P Full Scope
  • City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Building and Structures)
  • City & Guilds 2392 – Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification

Full Scope Electrician

  • Part P Defined Scope
  • City & Guilds 2382 – 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations
  • Part P Full Scope
  • 2391-52 Level 3 Award in inspection and testing
  • City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Building, Structures)
  • City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ
  • City & Guilds 2392 – Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification
  • AM2 (Achievement Measurement 2) Assessment

And once you have qualified here are some of the things you’ll be doing to earn your living:

  • Work as a fully qualified electrician running your own business or working for a firm.
  • Carry out periodic inspection and testing of electrical equipment.
  • Install systems and equipment in homes and commercial properties.
  • Install cabling, fit electrical equipment and test circuits in home environments.
  • Work on commercial maintenance contracts, perhaps for hotels, restaurants and offices etc.
